Fans have been quietly waiting for Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz to drop their collaborative project ColleGrove since last year when word got out about the two Southern MCs doing a joint LP. This morning (Mar. 2) Kanye West tweeted the cover of the project with the simple caption, "New project with 2 Chainz and Wayne dropping this Friday."

The cover certainly looks like the work of DONDA, Kanye's creative agency that's been responsible for album covers from the likes of Tity, Tyga, and Nicki. What's less clear is Kanye's involvement in the album. There hasn't been any word about features or production on the album, but it's easy to imagine Kanye's got at least a beat or a verse on the album, given that he tweeted about the album.

Last November 2 Chainz teased the project on the Rap Radar podcast.  “I’ve got Collegrove, that I’m working on,” he said at the time. “That’s the me and Wayne project. That will be out, probably sooner than people think.”

In February, Wayne and 2 Chainz debuted "Rolls Royce Weather Everyday" on 'Jimmy Fallon.'

There's also word that the project will be exclusive to a certain music streaming service, but nothing's been confirmed yet.
