While imposter Future's have been spotted in recent weeks, an Instagram video posted on Monday (Feb. 29) of the rapper alongside Meek Mill appears to be the real deal. The two are seen in a Philadelphia club looking rather chummy, leaning and rocking as Future raps from a balcony. The partying Meek was enjoying one of his last few nights out in the city, as his three month house arrest is to begin today, March 1.

What's most striking about the two rappers being spotted with one another is that Future was otherwise thought to be more than just a friendly collaborator with Drake. In September of 2015, Future and Drake released the joint mixtape What a Time to Be Alive, and prior to that, Drake was the lone feature on Future's DS2. 50 Cent once famously went at Jadakiss and Fat Joe for collaborating with his rival Ja Rule, and while Future likely isn't the competitive wrecking ball that 50 once was, it is a bit surprising to see him cross lines of affiliation so boldly.

Now, perhaps the appearance can be marked up to Future's friendliness as he wanted to celebrate Meek's final night out in style, or maybe he doesn't adhere to notions of mutually exclusive rap partnerships. Either way, it makes any of Drake's subliminal shots at Meek on What a Time all the stranger, imagining Future, who appears on 10 of the tape's 11 track's, as an ally to both.

Meek's impending house arrest was reportedly putting a strain on his relationship with Nicki Minaj, as he requested that she spend the three months at home alongside him, and though Nicki probably wouldn't have been too eager to commit, she laughed the story off as fake. Meek was sentenced to the house arrest as well as six years probation in early February, a break for the rapper who could have faced jail time for leaving his home city without a travel voucher.
