Like a beacon off in the distance, or an oasis somewhere on the horizon, Drake's Views From the 6 is coming. There isn't a whole lot to go off of other than Drake's word, which at this point, will have to suffice. The rapper, who has been hinting at the album's completion with the Instagram caption "Home Stretch," confirmed via the photo sharing platform on Tuesday (March 15) that his fifth studio album will indeed be dropping in April.

The April release date was first revealed in late January when Drake let "Summer Sixteen" loose. Then, Drake said of the album, "We’re here working overtime on it tryna make it everything I know it should be and the album itself will be coming in April 2016, so 416, you know that’s where I’m from.” In the time since though, Drake has helped his hometown of Toronto host NBA All-Star Weekend and taken over feature duties for Rihanna's smash hit "Work." The two even performed the song Tuesday night in Miami.

Unlike previous rollout efforts, Views is without a true hype-building single, as Drake's "Hotline Bling" simmered for the better half of last year, and "Summer Sixteen," with its headline-referencing lyrics, is more of a street release than a chart-topper like "Started From the Bottom" or "Headlines." Add to it that Drake earned plenty of spins with his Meek Mill diss "Back to Back," and the lead-up to Views becomes anything but conventional.

With his latest IG post though, Drake puts any doubts to rest, as Views appears to be right on schedule.
