When you’ve been in the rap game since you were 9 years old, it's expected that you would have a plethora of hits in the chamber. Let’s face it, Lil Wayne certainly has set the bar high. After signing with Birdman’s Cash Money Records before he hit 18, Weezy started off in a group before making his mark as a Hot Boy alongside Turk, Juvenile and B.G. As one of the youngest in the crew, Wayne proved he could hang with the big boys on their platinum-selling 1996 LP, Guerrilla Warfare. His bars on hits like “Bling Bling” stood out amongst the rest and helped launch his solo career.

With his debut album Tha Block is Hot, Wayne continued to show lyrical prowess as he became one of the South's most notable rhymers. The Mannie Fresh-produced effort debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 despite Wayne (at his mother's request) refraining from using profanity-saturated, vulgar narratives. Just take a listen to the lead single “Tha Block is Hot” and “Drop it Like It’s Hot.” Back then Wayne was just getting started and was clearly addicted to improving and delivering. He went on to drop three more notable projects before changing the game completely with 2004’s Tha Carter, his fourth album. Wayne re-united with Mannie on “Go D.J.” and the instant club favorite, further climbing the ranks of the hip-hop hierarchy.

Outside of dropping 11 solo albums throughout his career, Weezy is arguably one of hip-hop’s biggest mixtape kings. He’s released more than 25 solo and collaborative free projects, all of which are flooded with hood classics from his Sorry 4 Tha Wait installments to his Dedication series and his earlier works like Squad Up. It’s safe to say Tunechi’s got bars for days. With more than two decades in the game, Weezy has an astounding collection of about 1,684 songs he has released on official projects or those that have leaked online, according to his website. It was a tough one, but we picked out 25 of Lil Wayne’s Best Songs -- from his catalog, so no songs with his guest appearances here. Take a look below.
