Here's the most unexpected thing you've read all year: Aesop Rock adds something new to the "Untouchable" beat that Timbaland gave Pusha T. Yes, you read that right. Aesop Rock over Timbo.

Using the same hook that Pusha T enlisted for his November 2015 single, Aesop does lyrical backflips on the beat, dropping so many dope one-liners you can't just listen to the track once. Aesop goes especially hard towards the latter end of his verse, calling out rap phonies who underestimate him before Biggie's iconic hook drops.

"I'm from where it's defense on 3/And anybody with a fuckin' brain bumps Sean P/Old boy might combine the carve with the stale fish/All aboard the midlife snail's pace tailspin/You were busy authoring the holy grail of mailed-in/I was busy snow, sleet, heavy rain, hail, wind/Ready, aim, fail shit, it's Hail Marys everywhere/Over all the petty shit, under all the messy hair/I'm untouchable, uncrushable plus ill."

The New York native and underground OG has been consistently making headlines this spring. Back in February, Aesop announced that his next album The Impossible Kid will drop April 29 via Rhymesayers Entertainment and made a point to drop a trippy video for the album's lead single “Rings.” On the new project, Aesop is expected to lyrically tackle his depression, his relationship with his family and his grief following the death of his friend Camu Tao. Aes also been collaborated with Open Mike Eagle and Paul White on their latest track "I Went Outside Today."

Check out Aesop Rock's version of "Untouchable" above. How do Aesop Rock's bars on the beat compare to Pusha's?

Aesop has also announced a US tour in support of his new album. The trek across the country will headline a tour with Rob Sonic and DJ Zone plus support by Homeboy Sandman. Peep the dates below.
