Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson has suspended his campaign and who better to explain why than 2 Chainz? The rapper appeared on Comedy Central's The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore in a segment called "2 Chainz Explainz" to break down why Carson chose to suspend instead of terminate his run at the Oval Office.

"Suspending your campaign is all bout the money, Larry," said 2 Chainz matter of factly. "If you suspend instead of quit, you can still raise money from suckas that don't know you dropped out of the game. Then the federal government will give you matching dollars for those same funds. You can stack your money, stack your money and stack your money until you need a ladder and then your campaign is out of debt."

While the bit is meant to be humorous, the artist formerly known as Tity Boi actually does a good job explaining Carson's move in layman's terms. Adding his own bit of flair and possessing a knack for comedic timing, Chainz is a natural in front of the camera.

As 2 Chainz handles his career as an entertainer, he is privately mourning the death of fellow Atlanta rapper Bankroll Fresh. The slain MC, who was shot and killed in ATL over the weekend, was one of several artists under Chainz's Street Execs management team. “He had his own movement called Street Execs,” 2 Chainz said on the Wendy Williams Show. “He was an authentic trap rapper from Atlanta who touched many lives and lit up every room he went to. It was super unfortunate, super unnecessary, super senseless. And it just made me want to step up and use my platform for more positivity.”

The rapper also recently released the ColleGrove project with Lil Wayne.
