Young Dolph Drops ‘King of Memphis’ Album

Young Dolph's debut album has finally arrived. The Memphis rapper has built up quite the reputation on the mixtape circuit, but now he has released his official debut.

King of Memphis goes on sale tomorrow (Feb. 19), but Young Dolph hooked up the folks over at Noisey with a stream of the entire album. While Young Dolph is no rookie, King of Memphis might serve as his official introduction to many listeners. Plenty of people have seen the name or heard Young Dolph's songs, but the debut LP could be the first real glimpse at Dolph as an artist.

For his debut album, Young Dolph certainly pulled out all the stops. The 11 track album features an impressive lineup of producers with Mike WiLL-Made It, Zaytoven, Cassius Jay, Tm88 of 808 Mafia, Nard &B and DJ Squeeky all involved in crafting the sound. Another notable factor is that Young Dolph has no guests on the project. It appears that Dolph wants to make this a true solo effort and keep the attention on himself. It is a rare thing to see these days, but you have to give Dolph credit for believing in himself enough to carry the project alone.

While some may look at their official debut as a chance to reinvent themselves, Young Dolph seems to have stuck to the formula. For those who are on the Young Dolph bandwagon, that's more than welcomed. Young Dolph may not convert those who dismissed him into fans with King of Memphis, but he will satisfy his loyal followers.
