As spring quickly approaches, so does the sense of excitement for new drops in the world of hip-hop. 2016 has already given rap fans solid releases from names both big and small.

Kanye West caused the stir of the season (so far) with The Life of Pablo, Future surprised the Hive once again by dropping EVOL with only a week's notice and Boosie BadAzz proved his return to form after his 2015 cancer scare by dropping Out My Feelings (In My Past). And we're just getting started. March is full of more opportunities for rappers to mark their territory this year.

Dreamville mainstay Bas has hip-hop fans anxiously waiting for the release of his sophomore LP, Too High to Riot, which marks his first solo output since 2014's Last Winter. Features on Bas' new album include fellow Dreamville spitters J. Cole and Cozz and judging from the early reviews on the album's singles, rap fans are in for some slick bars from the New York rapper.

Also coming out of the Empire State, long-standing Brooklyn crew the Flatbush Zombies are on track to drop their debut album, 3001: A Laced Odyssey, at the top of the month. With a bunch of EP's under their belt and a live show that rivals the most epic rock shows, the Zombies are banking on their cult following to push their debut LP to the top of the charts.

If you've been sleeping on 2016's albums and mixtapes so far, here are the releases to wake up and check for in March.
