February for the world of hip-hop is always a whirlwind. Between major events like the Super Bowl, NBA All-Star Weekend and the Grammys, hip-hop's first quarter can sometimes slip by without making much noise. Luckily for fans in 2016, there are many artists dropping in February.

After more than a year of anticipation, Kanye West seems finally ready to drop his eighth studio album, Waves (formerly known as 'SWISH'), on Feb. 11. And in true Kanye fashion, the ostentatious Chicago MC has been hyping up the impending project with claims that it's the "album of the life." 'Ye's title change drew controversy from Wiz Khalifa, who conveniently is also dropping his new album this month on Feb. 5. Wiz and Kanye got in a heated, although one-sided Twitter beef and things escalated quickly. Though they seem to be good now after a phone call ended their beef, is seems album sales will be the final move that settles things.

From highly anticipated projects like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' This Unruly Mess I've Made to a surprise drop by Future, who announced that he's releasing his new album this Friday (Feb. 5), there's a lot to look forward to. Fewtch is premiering his LP first on DJ Khaled's new Apple Radio show. Also coming out of the gate with an unexpected follow-up is Young Thug, who's slated to drop Slime Season 3 on the same day.

From Kanye West to Future to Young Thug, February 2016 is primed to be one for the books when it comes to rap. Check out the release dates for albums, EPs and mixtapes dropping this month in the gallery above.
