Lupe Fiasco will go head-to-head with video game player Diego Umehara on Feb. 15 in a special exhibition match to coincide with the launch of Street Fighter V. Diego Umehara is one of the most famous Street Fighter players and currently holds the Guinness World Record for "most successful player in major tournaments of Street Fighter."

The event will take place in San Francisco at the Folsom Street Foundry in promotion of the new video game Street Fighter V, the latest edition of the famed fighting game series. The event will also include a variety of undercard exhibition matches using the soon to be released game.

The entire matchup came about due to some antics on Twitter which eventually led to Mad Catz, the company that sponsors Diego Umehara, offering Lupe Fiasco the opportunity to face their elite player. Lupe jumped at the opportunity and has apparently been training hard for the showdown. Shoryuken reports that Lupe linked up with Mad Catz V Cup runner-up Graham Wolfe for some advice.

Doors for the event will open at 5 p.m. with VIP access limited to the first 50 people according to Shoryuken. The undercard matches will begin at 6 p.m. while general admission will be open at 9 p.m. for the Lupe Fiasco vs. Diego Umehara matchup. But if you do not live in San Francisco, you can still see the fun as the event will be broadcasted live on the video game streaming service Twitch.

Street Fighter V will be available on PlayStation 4 and PC on Feb. 16.
