Kendrick Lamar's special night at the Grammys was not a solo celebration. The Compton rapper teamed up with Reebok to bring some students from his old high school, Centennial High School, to the Grammy Awards ceremony.

Reebok released a video titled "A Day with Kendrick Lamar" that highlighted this unique opportunity the students had. 11 miles away from the festivities, these students from the Compton school were picked up in style. A Hummer limousine arrived to bring these lucky students to a once in a lifetime meeting with Kendrick Lamar.

The kids met up with the Top Dawg Entertainment rapper and got a chance to ask him all sorts of questions. In the video, one student is seen asking Kendrick about his influences in music. The whole endeavor clearly touched Kendrick as he spoke about what it meant to him.

"Seeing them out here reminds me of where you come from," Kendrick said. "They're full of energy. The same way as I used to have. It's the motivation to wanna do something with themselves. You feel what I'm saying? Hopefully in the next 10 years, hopefully they'll be even further from where I'm at. It's a beautiful thing."

This is a moment these kids will never forget. Not only did they get to meet Kendrick Lamar and attend the Grammys, but they were also there to experience Kendrick's show-stopping performance at the event. Kendrick's live rendition of "Alright" and "The Blacker the Berry" will likely go down as one of the best performances in Grammys history. And if that was not enough, they got to see their hero win five Grammy Awards too.
