Mike Will Made-It's Ransom 2 was originally supposed to drop on Jan. 29, but the super producer had to postpone the project in order to involve his longtime collaborator Gucci Mane. He was waiting for Gucci to come in as host of the release, but explained the delay further on Twitter Sunday night (Feb. 7).

"Really had to delay #RANSOM2 to make sure everything was A1 on my end on Formation," the producer tweeted in reference to Beyonce's recently released video and song, which he produced, "but couldn't spill the beans of course."

He continued with, "To see it all rollout & be so A1, salute to Bey, HOV, Big Jon, & her whole team." Mike Will then clarified Gucci's involvement in the Ransom 2 album, writing, "Now I can get #RANSOM2 done how I want to. Unfortunately the feds said no to Gucci hosting a project from jail." And later: "My 'Trap Tape' is still coming once the Trap God comes home #FreeGucci."

While there were reports last month that Gucci would be released from prison in March, they were since refuted, with a more likely release date coming in 2017 for the rapper. If that is indeed the case, then Ransom 2 will have a ways to go before ever seeing the light of day. No doubt, Mike Will will have plenty to keep him busy in the meantime, having recently engaged with Hot 97's Ebro in a Twitter spat over Swae Lee's writing credit on "Formation."
