While the Chicago streets may be heartless, that doesn't mean the hustlers created within them have to be. At a recent Chief Keef show, the Chi-town rapper was captured on video consoling a crying fan, offering a few words of inspiration and wisdom. Though the audio isn't crystal clear, on-stage music drowning out the conversation, Keef can be heard asking the fan "You gonna do something with your life?" and later, "I ain't get the chance to be nothin' but a rapper."

The interaction is brief, with the video above, provided by LocalSVGE, lasting just 14 seconds. Keef, however, shared the meeting on Instagram, writing, "love this dude. stay in school much love to you. Be something in life #300 you rock fool!"

The video is surprising perhaps, given the overwhelming portrayal of Chief Keef as a lean-abusing, gun-toting street rapper. In January, a report found Keef and Lil Wayne as the most profane artists of all time, while before then, in December, Keef was sued by his own label for releasing music without their permission or involvement. More recently though, Keef posted a Minneapolis address to Twitter and directed followers to vandalize the home, seemingly with no connection or motive. The residents, three college students, have been forced to move from the address in the time since.

Regardless of recent headlines though, the backstage footage of the Keef and the fan is sweet and shows a softer side to the rapper. Check out the video above and Keef's IG post below.
