Wiz Khalifa treated passengers on a flight from Las Vegas to Los Angeles to an exclusive listening party. According to the New York Post, a fresh-off-a-DJ-gig Khalifa boarded the plane with a buzz on and took over the stereo. "People were really into it," said a source. "They were bobbing their heads and enjoying the show that is Wiz. He was talking about going to the Golden Globes and it being surreal the his going."

The Pittsburgh native is likely gave the passengers a preview of his upcoming album Khalifa. Wiz made the announcement of the project via a thank you video to his fans on Dec. 29. "This is just now being known, nobody really knows this," he said in the clip. I plan on putting out a project with some unreleased music that nobody's ever heard before and I'm going to call it Khalifa. That's actually going to be available in January. Now you know...go get Khalifa when it comes out."

While at the Golden Globes, Wiz gave a release date for the project. "I got a new album on the way. It's coming out Jan. 22," he told E!. "I came off of two really successful tours this year, so we're gearing up for some more tours now."

The rapper walked away empty handed at the awards show as his song "See You Again" from Furious 7 lost out to Sam Smith's "Writing on the Wall" from Spectre. The Taylor Gang leader's song was inexplicably not nominated for a 2016 Academy Award despite dominating the charts and airplay.
