Updating a previous story, TMZ is reporting that the reason Tyga reached out to a 14-year-old girl on Instagram was strictly professional. OK! Magazine had published the initial reports linking Tyga to the girl, displaying exchanged messages and implying a romantic nature to the conversation. The magazine alleged that the interaction was to blame for Tyga's split with Kylie Jenner, but now, it appears that Tyga was merely scouting talent.

Tyga's manager Anthony Martini told TMZ that Tyga was interested in the girl, Molly O'Malia, for a project on his record label, Last Kings Records. The rapper reached out to O'Malia after learning of her online following and maintains that that conversation was strictly business. Tyga even asked her to send him music and wanted to FaceTime in order to hear her sing. Furthermore, according to text messages obtained by TMZ, O'Malia says that she is 17.

O'Malia has retained representation from celebrity attorney Gloria Allred after receiving what she calls "negative attention" following the initial OK! Magazine report. During a news conference held yesterday, Allred said that O'Malia was the target of attacks for allegedly breaking-up Kylie and Tyga. At the same conference, Allred said that she and the teen's family had not yet ruled out legal action.

This seems to be a case of Tyga's reputation preceding him. The rapper had famously courted Kylie Jenner before she had turned 18 and has even rapped about the love affair, saying on "Stimulated," "They say she young, I should’ve waited/She a big girl, dog, when she stimulated."
