The Game Is Going on Tour

The Game had a sort of mixed year in 2015. The Compton rapper celebrated the ten-year anniversary of his beloved debut, The Documentary, by releasing its two-part sequel, making for some of his most critically acclaimed music in years. There have also been stumbling blocks--the beef with Stitches, an incident with an off-duty police officer at a basketball game, a variety of minor scandals on Instagram--but for now, Game is taking his show on the road, announcing a new tour for America and overseas.

The Documentary 2 Tour (the first leg, the poster clarifies) kicks off tonight, Jan. 8, in Los Angeles. Then there's a quick swing down the West coast followed by a string of shows in Europe: Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, the UK and Ireland. He'll hit New Zealand and Australia before coming home at the end of February.

Game has most recently been the subject of some ire for a post he made that served as a defense of Bill Cosby, the once-revered comedian who has been accused of sexual assault by upwards of 50 women and is finally facing charges in one such case. The rapper argues that Cosby's arrest betrays a racial imbalance in the justice system; fans and observers were quick to take him to task for what was deemed to be insensitive to the cases of the murdered Black men and women he cited.

Earlier, the "Dreams" star was forced by Instagram to remove several selfies that depicted him in compromising positions. He lashed out at the social media app, claiming that that, too, was a double standard, as many women post photos Game considers scandalous.
