Nicki Minaj is set to star on the big screen alongside Ice Cube, Anthony Anderson, Regina Hall, Common, Cedric the Entertainer, Eve and more in the upcoming flick Barbershop: The Next Cut.

Minaj will star as Draya, a hairdresser at Calvin's Barbershop. The Next Cut is the third film in the Barbershop series and is set to hit theaters on April 15. It is directed by Malcolm D. Lee (The Best Man HolidayUndercover Brother) and is rated PG-13.

The movie revolves around Calvin's Barbershop and the people who work in it and stop by to get their haircut. Taking place nearly 10 years after Barbershop 2, the community surrounding the shop has gone under massive changes with poverty and violence overtaking the streets. In an attempt to help clean up the neighborhood, Cube and his crew use the barbershop as a safe place for teens to come and hang out which attracts media coverage and inspires a social media movement to promote change through peace. The flick isn't without laughs, though, and should sprinkle in plenty of jokes along with getting its bigger message across.

With a role in the latest installment of Barbershop and past appearances in past flicks like The Other Woman and Ice Age: Continental Drift, Minaj is well on her way to taking Hollywood by storm. The rapper showed off her acting chops in 2014's The Pinkprint mini-movieDeveloped by the rapper, the 16-minute film is set to "The Crying Game," "I Lied" and "Grand Piano" from her album of the same name.
