Machine Gun Kelly is keeping from a hospital bed. The Cleveland rapper revealed that he was hospitalized on Sunday (Jan. 17).

Through a series of tweets and Instagram posts, Kelly announced he was recovering from emergency elbow surgery. As of today (Jan. 19), he is still in an unspecified hospital as he recovers from the surgery. One Instagram post indicated that Machine Gun Kelly is on the West Coast.

"Surgery went well, thanks for asking," Machine Gun Kelly wrote on Twitter early Monday morning (Jan. 18). "They won't release me from the hospital [though] until test results indicate they don't have to do it again."

The Bad Boy artist has been supplying his fans with plenty of updates since his arrival at the hospital and seems to be in good spirits. One alarming detail he did reveal was the elbow injury could have resulted in an amputation. Machine Gun Kelly said that the doctor told him that if he waited 12 more hours, the infection would have reached his bone and needed to be amputated.
