Over the last few days, rumors have begun to swirl that Lil Wayne sent an Instagram model several pieces of jewelry, including a diamond ring. This Monday (Jan. 4), the rapper sought to put the issue to bed, hopping on Twitter to offer a categorical denial:

The woman in question used to occupy the handle @ErikaFBaby; since the social media firestorm over some of her posts took off, she has deleted her page. (A new account on a similar handle has cropped up and attributed the deletion to the work of "hackers," but the validity of the claim and the new user have not been determined.)

When @ErikaFBaby was still up, the owner posted photos of handwritten notes, overnight packages, a large diamond ring and an assortment of other gifts, claiming they were from Wayne. She included a sticker with a return address to a Devon Diaz in New Orleans; Devon Diaz is the name of Wayne's longtime personal assistant.

Whether or not he has struck up a relationship with any women on social media, there might be progress in another fractured partnership. Reports indicate that the rapper reunited with his longtime label boss, mentor and collaborator Bryan "Birdman" Williams at Drake's New Year's Eve party. The two have been at odds since late 2014, when Williams indicated that he wouldn't be releasing Wayne's Tha Carter V on Cash Money Records. The two have traded barbs on record and through the press, and Williams has threatened legal action against Tidal, the streaming service that issued his Free Weezy Album.
