Adele's multi-platinum single "Hello" is clearly beloved by a large amount of the population, but not everyone claiming to like the song has an affinity for it like Kevin Gates.

The Baton Rouge MC was recently a guest on the All Out Show on Sirius XM satellite radio and when the subject somehow got on the British singer's Billboard topping hit, Gates got in a zone. "That's the theme song to my life," said the "I Don't Get Tired" rapper. "I got niggas doing life in prison, I'll never see them again. I got a uncle been [locked up] 17 years, I'll never see him again. I got women that I've been in relationships with that at the time I thought I was going to marry them. I will never talk to them again."

Gates continued, "This song is my life. It's a lot of shit I will never see again, but I will think about the memories. I miss riding with my big brother in the car. He's dead. A nigga blew his brains out. I miss him. I'll never see him again, but hello from the other side cause I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be."

Gates major label debut Islah is dropping on Jan. 29. Initially slated to drop in December, the album is spearheaded by the four previously released singles “Really Really,” “La Familia,” “The Truth” and "Two Phones."
