Kanye West is ending the week on a high note. After resurrecting his G.O.O.D. Friday series and dropping two new tracks earlier today (Jan. 8), the rapper announces the release date for his seventh studio album, Swish.

Yeezy, who's usually the quiet type when it comes to Twitter, broke his silence on this TGIF to address a LeBron James lyric (which he quickly deleted), share his new songs, wish fans a good weekend and now reveal the release date for Swish: Feb. 11.

In one month, West will satisfy fans with the follow-up to 2013's Yeezus, a project he once referred to as a "protest in music." A year after that platinum-selling album dropped, word surfaced that a new opus was on the horizon. "One new thing could change everything," the 38-year-old told GQ in 2014 about the forthcoming LP known as Swish -- a comment indicative of the release delay.

About a year ago, the new music for the effort started rolling in. The Paul McCartney-assisted "Only One" arrived, then came "FourFiveSeconds" with Rihanna and McCartney, followed by "Wolves," "All Day" and "Fade." He even announced the album title was So Help Me God at the start of 2015 but then changed the name to Swish a few months later. Change has certainly been a constant in the making of this record.

He's steered clear of playing the album for media but did treat those at a Paris Fashion Week party to the new tracks in 2014 and club-goers at a Toronto hot spot got in on the action last year. Even Lamar Odom has heard the songs set to appear on Swish.

It's obvious West has been "working slow," which he admitted during an interview with L.A.'s Real 92.3 in November. "[Swish is] like a sonic painting, and it gets better and better every week." He's taking his time with this work of art. More than two years have passed since Yeezus debuted, making this break between solo records his longest yet -- the release of 808s & Heartbreak and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was a solid two-year gap.

With the arrival of newer songs like "Facts," "Real Friends" and "No More Parties in L.A." it's hard to get a grasp on which sonic direction Swish will take. Kanye West's track record for change during the creative process could mean any song he's previously released might not make it to the final tracklist. The element of surprise is definitely on his side with Swish. Let the countdown to release day begin.
