Jay Z and DJ Khaled Talk Business at Los Angeles Clippers Game

In short order, DJ Khaled has become one of the most talked-about figures in rap--but for reasons that have nothing to do with the recording booth. Instead, the Miami native has slipped into the national consciousness thanks to his mastery of Snapchat, the social media platform that allows for brief, impermanent images and videos. (Hard data can confirm the app's role in his rise.) His Snapchat has become such an institution, in fact, that when someone as big as Jay Z comes across Khaled, he needs to be included.

Last night (Jan. 13), both stars were in attendance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles as the Clippers ran their win streak to 10 games against the Miami Heat. And while Khaled must have been disappointed with the outcome, he did secure a cameo from Hova:

While Jay is one of the greatest and most decorated rappers of all time, he might be the second-most famous person to appear on Khaled's account this month. Kim Kardashian West, the television star, fashion designer and wife to Kanye, had a guest spot as well, in which Khaled lavished her with praise. Watch that, too, below:
