When Macklemore released "White Privilege II," the lead-single from his upcoming album The Unruly Mess I’ve Made, the internet was shocked when he name-checked Iggy Azalea on the song. Iggy, who first responded to the song with a tweet directed at Macklemore, has finally spoken on the record about the song and says she partially agrees with the "Thrift Shop" creator's sentiments.

Iggy was approached by a TMZ reporter on Friday (Jan. 29) while signing autographs at the Los Angeles International Airport and prodded about her thoughts on the record. When asked if she has given "White Privilege II" a second listen, the Australian beauty shrugs off the question by sarcastically asking the reporter if they did. The reporter then asked if she agreed with any of the points Macklemore made in the song, to which she responded, "Of course," but didn't get specific other than saying "not the bad stuff about me."

Iggy then joked that she sent Macklemore a message via carrier pigeon when asked if she had spoken to him since the song was released before offering her opinion on the topic of "white people borrowing from black culture."

"I think all culture takes from all culture," Iggy said. "We're so global now, I think it's impossible for everybody not to take influence from everybody."

On "White Privilege II," Macklemore challenged Iggy and all white musicians profiting off black culture, rapping "You've exploited and stolen the music, the moment/ The magic, the passion, the fashion, you toy with/ The culture was never yours to make better/ You're Miley, you're Elvis, you're Iggy Azalea." He would later explain in an interview that he wasn't using Iggy and Miley as scapegoats for appropriation but rather just holding everyone accountable including himself.

Iggy responded to "White Privilege II" via Twitter and pointed out the contradiction between Macklemore's words on the song and his actions towards her over the years, tweeting "He shouldnt have spent the last 3 yrs having friendly convos and taking pictures together at events etc if those were his feelings." Iggy comment started a public war of words between herself and Talib Kweli.

It's safe to say that we shouldn't expect any kumbaya's from these two anytime soon.
