No celebrity, musician or otherwise, has leveraged the power of Snapchat quite like DJ Khaled. The hip-hop impresario has taken to the social platform to document his daily life either on the road or at his Miami home and has used the short videos as a launching pad for his own line of merchandise. With the heightened visibility comes more attention, and The Daily Show recently visited Khaled's Miami abode, specifically his legendary shoe closet, to see if some of Khaled's success-building wisdom could rub off.

Daily Show correspondent Hassan Minhaj joins Khaled in the closet, what is built like a library for unworn, exclusive sneakers. The two exchange nicknames for some of Khaled's prized pairs, and Minhaj's enthusiasm for the exercise wanes as he longs for a pair of Supreme x Air Jordan 5s in camo.

Khaled consoles Minhaj with some abstract motivational words, saying, "The key to success is to keep your head above water." He continues, venturing further into the philosophical, saying, "See, this the key, knowing is better than learning. I know that’s kinda weird. You might have to learn to know. But just know, when you know, it’s better than learning. And I know. Just know. Know that."

The whole bit underutilizes Khaled's genius, as the music mogul has displayed a true talent for narration in recent months. When he found himself lost at sea after sundown in mid-December, Khaled skillfully documented the whole ordeal, injecting drama as he updated fans in real time.
