Original Story: The line-up for the second annual J Dilla Weekend has been announced, with rap collectives De La Soul and Pro Era headlining the commemorative concert. The weekend event will take place February 5th to 7th, just a few days short of the 10 year anniversary of Dilla's death. The celebrated producer was born on Feb. 7 1974 and passed on Feb. 10 2006 due to a rare blood disease known as thrombotic thrombocytopenic pupura.

Other acts on the bill include DJ Premier, Slum Village, 9th Wonder, Royce da 5'9", Rapsody, Blu & Exile, Diamond D, A.G., Chuck Strangers, A-F-R-O and Mr. Green. In addition to performances, the Miami, FL weekend will include producer panel discussions, special photo/art exhibits, a record exchange and more Dilla-themed events. The weekend will be hosted by J Dilla's mother, affectionally known as Ma Dukes.

Ticket packages are available now for $75 and $105, with the deluxe package yielding an exclusive New Era x Dilla Weekend limited edition hat to the first 500 ticket purchasers. Joey Bada$$ headlined last year's inaugural J Dilla Weekend, joined by Madlib, Pete Rock, Talib Kweli, Slum Village and more. J Dilla Weekend is not to be confused with J Dilla Day, which took place last year in Los Angeles with performances by Elzhi, Bishop Lamont and more. Both take place at the beginning of the year with last year's Dilla Day having gone down on Feb. 13.
