The outlandish character that is Danny Brown kept it unusually low-key in 2015. That looks to change this year as the Detroit rapper is hoping to drop his first LP since 2013's Old. The fan-friendly rapper recently had a brief Q&A session on Twitter with fans where he somewhat gave an update on the new LP, his fourth, as well as revealing some of his tastes in music.

When asked if his new album would be a mixed bag of serious and up beats songs, Brown replied, "Lol nah it's all fucked up." Later a fan remarked that he was praying Brown's new album comes out this year, to which the XXX rapper responded, "Praying wit u bruh bruh."

He also gave his favorite picks for albums from artists Kanye West (Late Registration, Yeezus), Kendrick Lamar (Section .80), Young Thug (I Came From Nothing 2) and others.

Last January, Danny revealed he was working on records for his forthcoming album. “I got a studio in my house now so I’ll just wake up, stretch, record whenever I want,” he said. He also revealed that he spent a week working with The Alchemist in Los Angeles, and that material from those sessions should make the new LP.

At the time he was also working on a children's book dedicated to his 13-year-old daughter that was inspired by the famous children’s author Dr. Seuss. “It’s really about self-esteem in black girls,” explained Brown. “You know how black women do so much–process their hair, change their eye color. It’s really about a little girl who does all these things to herself and changes herself and she realizes she’s just better off the way she is.”

Here's hoping we see both in 2016.
