The producers of the widely successful Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival are bringing a new music festival to New York City. Goldenvoice, the production team behind Coachella, has announced the Panorama Festival for Jul. 22-24 at Randall's Park Island in New York City.

"We look forward to bringing Panorama to New York City and introducing a new festival that showcases today's top music acts," Goldenvoice festival producer Mark Shulman said in a statement. "We're committed to creating an event that will provide significant benefits to New York City with the level of experience and meticulous attention to detail for which Goldenvoice is known."

In their official announcement, Goldenvoice is billing the festival as "three days of music, art, technology, and local food offerings." No lineup has been announced yet, but potential attendees can probably expect to hear about what artists will be performing soon as many festivals begin to unveil their acts. If Coachella is any indication, Panorama is poised to have a star-studded lineup for its inaugural event.

Goldenvoice, which operates under the production company AEG Live, also has ambitious plans for another New York based festival in the future.

"Goldenvoice has received tremendous support from the local community and elected officials who recognize the immense economic benefits these types of events deliver to their businesses and constituents," Shulman said. "We look forward to continuing our discussions with NYC Parks to create an event to take place in Queens in the future."
