Over the weekend, Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa made headlines when he decided to treat passengers on a flight to Los Angeles with some new tunes off his next LP. Wiz isn’t the first rapper to have an impromptu listening, in the past some of the biggest and most well-known rappers have decided to treat fans to new music in their own ways.

Before Wiz set up shop and decided to play his unreleased music on a plane, Kanye West spontaneously pulled up to a tattoo parlor in London and played new music for 15 people inside the ink location. ‘Ye leo pulled a surprised listening for one of his close friends, former NBA player Lamar Odom, who Kanye visited while the baller was in a hospital. More cases of rappers playing new music in uncommon places has also been part of Logic's and J. Cole's promo run for their albums. Both MCs decided to take to the road and surprise their true fans at their houses and afterwards playing their full length LP's at their fans' house.
