Yo Gotti Sends Angela Simmons Flowers, Twitter Reacts

Wayne Gretzky once said that a person will miss 100 percent of the shots they don't take. Enter Yo Gotti, whose smash hit "Down in the DM" features a not so subtle admission of "Boy, I got a crush on Angela Simmons." Gotti had explained his crush briefly, but it seems the rapper is about more than talk. Late last night (Dec. 17), Angela Simmons posted a photo on Instagram of a bouquet of flowers sent to her by, yes, Yo Gotti himself who is taking his shot and following through.

"Congratulations on your new venture" Gotti wrote in reference to Simmons's new brand Foffi and Bella.  Gotti claimed to be bold on "Down in the DM" and this gesture certainly backs that up. Talk of Gotti's special delivery made the rapper a trending topic on Twitter today (Dec. 18), as people commented on his courage, the power of direct message and the two as a potential item.

On a rap front, Yo Gotti has doubled down this fall, releasing two mixtapes — CM8 and The Return — within a four week span. "Down in the DM" which was produced by Ben Billions and Schife Karbeen is featured on the latter of the two.

Perhaps as the new years rolls around, more rappers and listeners alike will take a page from Gotti and actively pursue their goals.
