Meek Mill's probation violation hearing continues, with the Philadelphia rapper appearing before a judge today (Dec. 17).

Though the defense continues to call character witnesses to testify on behalf of Meek and his continued rehabilitation, sources in the courtroom suggest the judge has been unreceptive so far.

According to TMZ, the rapper is in court along with his girlfriend -- which could possibly be his fiancee -- Nicki Minaj and his counsel. Witnesses have reportedly referred to Meek as a "role model" and have praised Nicki for both her effect on Meek and her potential to help the city of Philadelphia; after one witness gave testimony to that effect, the judge reportedly replied that the court had "done nothing but try to help the defendant."

Meek is under investigation for a possible parole violation stemming from his trip to Los Angeles late last month. The cross-country flight was necessary in order for Meek to play the American Music Awards. However, it now appears that he may not have properly informed his parole officer of the out-of-state trip.

The Dreams Worth More Than Money star is also accused of submitting a false sample to a drug test. According to court documents, Meek handed a lab technician a cup of cold water instead of the sample required for his probation-mandated drug test. He allegedly explained that the color and consistency was due to his water and protein shake consumption.

Last week, Minaj gave a widely-reported testimony in which she insisted that she would be able to keep Meek out of trouble. “He’s not perfect but I can’t believe how much he’s changed,” the New York rapper told the court.

Meek's probation dates back to a 2008 conviction on charges of drug and gun possession. He first violated his five-year parole agreement in 2012--also for failing to properly report travel plans. He served a five-month prison term in 2014 for failing to complete the etiquette classes mandated after the first parole violation.
