Lupe Fiasco has long established himself as one of the foremost thinking minds in hip-hop today. He's gone on record to comment on societies ills, but took to Twitter Tuesday night to offer a different kind of analysis. While watching the republican debate, the Washington Post reports, Lupe rattled off nearly 30 different tweets, not analyzing the candidates policies or diction, but rather the American flag pins they were or were not wearing.

There's a sense of sarcasm and satire throughout Lupe's tweet spree, as the typically sharp-minded rapper focuses on the inane and irrelevant sartorial accents rather than issues he undoubtedly could speak to in volume. "This Rubio flag pin is only gaining strength in its subtlety. It's like a razor blade of leadership," he wrote of democratic candidate Marco Rubio. It is that sort of imagery that reinforces Lupe's tongue-in-cheek tone. "This Bush flag pin is making me a real believer. It's like he's wearing the Constitution on his chest," he later wrote.

While most kick and scream at the talking points delivered by Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and their like, perhaps Lupe has stumbled upon a new manner of taking in the republican debates; to channel all of one's energy toward what's easiest to talk about rather than what's most important.
