Bedtime stories just got a lot easier. And raspier. Courtesy of BBC Radio comes this holiday gift, an audio recording of Ja Rule reading the Dr. Seuss classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas!. There's no set up or explanation, just Ja Rule reading every one of Seuss's words and exclaiming at the end, "Yay! The gotdamn Grinch. It’s the Rule. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year."

In a recent interview with GQ, Ja said that he's getting weirder as he gets older, and the above video is glorious evidence of just that. While legend building moves are fun, Rule also said that he's interested in stepping out of the limelight. ”I just want to be a recluse, I want to disappear,” he said. The change of heart could sound a bit contradictory, with Rule's reality show Follow the Rules just finishing its first season on MTV. “I mean, I am doing a reality show,” he said. “I used to love being famous, it was the dopest, funnest thing. Not anymore.”

That interview had followed one with Billboard in which Rule teased a world tour with Ashanti. “Me and Ashanti are about to go on a big world tour… and we’re putting together a music and film project with our whole Natural Born Killers tour and EP,” he said. Nothing has materialized as of yet, but it's interesting mix of messages Ja is sending out there.
