Kendrick Lamar and his sophomore album To Pimp a Butterfly have been hot button topics all year long, and it appears that someone else has lined up to spar against K. Dot; his own label mate. According to tweets by Top Dog CEO Anthony Tiffith, Kendrick and ScHoolboy Q got into a "minor disagreement" while in the studio together. Someone had taken to Twitter to investigate the issue after he claimed his cousin had seen the two TDE rappers involved in a "scuffle."

There's no time like the holidays to work out a little in-family fighting and when a second Twitter user suggested the source was too much fire in the studio, Tiffith responded with "That's all it was." It is encouraging that Tiffith addressed the issue for what it was rather than dismissing it or claiming it hadn't happened.

The news comes just two weeks after it was announced that Kendrick had earned 11 Grammy nominations for To Pimp a Butterfly. Top honors include nominations for Album of the Year and Song of the Year for "Alright."

Lamar is also on the cover of XXL's Winter 2015 issue. In the self-penned cover story, he writes about dealing with success, the tumultuous times for black men in America, reaching a younger audience and feeling like the chosen one. The issue will hit news stands on Dec. 22 and include features on Kevin Gates, Ty Dolla $ign, Bryson Tiller, Tory Lanez and much more.
