Joey Bada$$ announced that he's canceling a bunch of upcoming shows. The Pro Era lynchpin took to Twitter to explain why he made this the decision. “When the agents, managers, fans & friends don’t understand how I’m feeling, my body does” he wrote.“ "I’m deeply sorry to announce the cancellation of my shows in Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki, and Starland Ballroom in New Jersey but I am thoroughly exhausted.”

He continued,  “At this point I don’t feel healthy physically, mentally, and emotionally and know that all of this would compromise my ability to perform, which is something I never want to do. Joey Bada$$ isn’t a half ass performer. I’d rather return at my best.” Check out a the full statement below.

The Brooklyn native released his debut album B4.Da.$$ in January. He then went on tour all summer, threw the first annual #STEEZDay in Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield, marched in Union Square in NYC in honor for the death of Freddie Gray and played in countless festivals. The most recent news regarding Joey was his thoughts on the Presidential candidates.

“To be honest, and to go back to the initial question–which is her being authentic or real–to me, to be honest, none of the candidates I really relate to,” the young rapper said on Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. “Being a young Black man, I don’t really relate to Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.” Joey, for whom the 2016 presidential race will be the first one he can vote in, was also clear when asked what issues might win him over: “I’m looking for that presidential candidate that’s gonna put all my problems right at the forefront. Like the police brutality issue–I’m in favor of anyone who’s standing strong and firm about that issue.”
