The St. Louis Rams defeated the Detroit Lions 21-14 at home Sunday (Dec. 13), and were treated to an added victory when Jay Z joined them in the locker room afterward. Based on the above Instagram video, posted by Rams running back Malcolm Brown, it looks like Hov joined in on the Rams huddle as they celebrated their fifth win of the season.

If the appearance seems at all random, it's not. Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports represents Rams star running back Todd Gurley, who ran for 140 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the day. Gurley is currently signed to the Rams for $14 million over four years.

This wouldn't be the first time Jay Z has visited a team locker room post-victory. In 2011, Jay dropped in on the Kentucky Wildcats following their win over the North Carolina Tar Heels. Seeing as at the time, Jay was a minority owner in the Brooklyn Nets, the visitation was met with a $50,000 fine by the NBA. League rules prohibit any team personnel from meeting or having contact with players who have not yet entered the draft. Jay famously addressed the fine on "Niggas in Paris," rapping, "What's 50 grand to a motherfucker like me/Can you please remind me?"

It doesn't seem like he'll be in any hot water over his Rams drop-in. Defensive end Chris Long even held the appearance in similar regard to winning the game, the first W for the Rams in six weeks.
