J. Cole is up to something. While he doesn't use social media often, when he does, it's for good reason. Around 8 p.m. last night (Dec. 6), the 30-year-old MC took to Twitter and cryptically posted a 1-888 phone number. Other members of Cole's Dreamville crew, i.e. Bassy, Coz, Omen and manager Ibrahim "Ib" Hamad, all followed suit dropping "1-888-88-DREAM" on their timelines. According to iTunes, Revenge of the Dreamers II, the second Dreamville compilation, is dropping this Friday (December 11).

Naturally, Dreamville fans quickly took notice and ran to their phones to dial in. What were they greeted with on the other line? Some lucky few got a chance to talk with Cole and Ib.

Most heard a recording of the "No Role Modelz" rapper telling a quick "Yo Mama" joke before hearing the voicemail box was full. What's most interesting is that on some of the short phone calls, Cole screams "Revenge of the Dreamers, motherfuckers! 2!" Check it out.

Revenge of the Dreamers 2 would be the sequel to Cole's 2014 mixtape compilation he dropped around this time two years ago. Revenge of the Dreamers 2 would mark Cole's first full-length project release since December 2014's 2014 Forest Hills Drive.

In the current hip-hop game, J. Cole might be the king of grassroots, get-to-the-fans marketing. The North Carolina spitter has been known to show up at fans' homes personally with little notice and still puts on his annual Dollar and A Dream tour. Album out or not, he only charges concert goers a single buck for admission. And even with no album out in 2015, Cole has managed to stay on hip-hop's mind, participating in political protests, hopping on features for his Dreamville label mates and dropping a dual single with Kendrick Lamar on Black Friday. And while there's no telling what Cole will do next, fans should definitely stay tuned for new music within the coming months.
