Doctors Remove Half of Boosie BadAzz’s Kidney During Successful Cancer Surgery

Boosie BadAzz is now recovering from a successful cancer surgery. According to TMZ, the Baton Rouge MC underwent a procedure called a nephrectomy in which doctors removed half of the cancer-infected kidney. The rapper is still slightly weak but in great spirits following the major health scare as the surgeons believe they were able to remove all the cancer. According to the report, Badazz didn't have insurance and had to foot the entire $90,000 tab for the surgery. Right now it looks like money well spent.

Boosie Boo first announced to the world he had been diagnosed with kidney cancer three weeks ago, reporting to fans, “I need all my fans to pray for me Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys prayer is power that’s why I’m letting the world know prayfaboosie.”

He opted to have the surgery to try to extract the tumor Tuesday (Dec. 8). Immediately after the surgery, Boosie took to social media to thank people for their well wishes. "I want to thank each and everyone for all the support and love," he wrote. "Surgery went well..God is good! Next step recovery! Cancer has been removed from Boosie kidney... Thanks to all Boosie family and friends and all my real Boosie fans for all the prayers from #badazzmusicsyndicate... I am a #cancersurvivor. please pray for my recovery I will be n rehab learning to walk again n build my strength so I can get back to the business thanks again for your prayersGODISGREAT."
