Mac Miller and Metro Boomin are two of the best at their respective professions--Mac as an MC and Metro as a producer--and the two could be teaming up for greatness. Over the weekend, the Pittsburgh MC hopped on Twitter and more or less said that his life is going to change when an expected batch of Metro beats hits his inbox:

Metro Boomin chose to opt for the emoji response:

A collab with Metro Boomin may not be the only project Mac is working on with a southern artist. Atlanta upstart Key! also tweeted out over the weekend that he and the Pittsburgh rapper have a "big blessing" coming their way:

All in all, it looks like Mac will be flying down south for an extended period at some point in 2016.

Before he gets to work though, Mac, whose GO:OD AM album was considered one of the best 20 of the year by XXL, is taking some time to rest. After 90 days straight of touring, the Macadelic rapper announced that he is postponing his dates in Australia and New Zealand. The rapper released a statement as follows:

“Today, it is with regret that Mac Miller is announcing the cancellation of his upcoming tour dates in New Zealand and Australia. After 3 long months on the road, playing over 70 shows in 90 days, he is postponing his trip due to exhaustion. Mac adds ‘Thank you to my loyal fans in Australia and New Zealand for all of the support over the years. I wouldn’t want to perform for you unless I was 100% healthy and on top of my game. I promise I will be back to rock with you guys soon.'”
