Ty Dolla $ign drops off his debut album, Free TC.

Back in April, the Taylor Gang/Atlantic signee announced that his Free TC would hit shelves just in time for summer on June 2. When no release came, fans were left wondering if and when the hit maker would announce a new date. In September, Ty shared that his album would officially drop today (Nov. 13) and he has kept his promise.

The 16-track LP is laced with features from big names in the game, including Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Future, Babyface, Trey Songz, Fetty Wap, Rae Sremmurd, E-40, Sevyn Streeter and more. Producers include Metro Boomin, Babyface and DJ Mustard. Prior to today's release, the trap rapper hit fans with his Airplane Mode mixtape while they awaited his LP. As part of his #FreeMyHomieFriday campaign, he has also dropped a number of singles off the new project, including the Wiz-assisted "Sitting Pretty," "Only Right," and "Saved" alongside E-40. The West Coast native also dropped a few visuals too, including the video for "Solid," featuring Babyface, the "When I See Ya" video with rising star Fetty Wap and the video for "Blase" with Future and Rae Sremmurd.

Free TC is an emotional release for the 2014 XXL Freshman. It is a tribute to his brother who is currently serving a life sentence for murder. “I called my album 'Free TC,' because I’m on a mission to free my brother TC," Ty said. "He’s been wrongly accused and by releasing this album, I want to raise awareness to the racial and social injustices and mass incarceration that’s going on in our country right now. This is more than just an album; it’s a movement.”

In preparation for the release, Ty released an audio clip of his conversation with  his brother and breaking down the tracklist in detail. Take a listen to that here and get your own copy over on iTunes. Stream the album below.
