2015 has been an incredible year for Dr. Dre. The acclaimed producer released Compton, his first album in over 15 years. The project received widespread praise, commercial success and helped quiet the longstanding frustration with Dre failing to release the much hyped Detox album. The N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton also hit theaters and became a box office smash. The F. Gary Gray-directed film earned $60 million in its opening weekend, the highest ever for a R-rated movie. It also received the distinction of being the highest grossing movie ever by a black director.

Despite all that success, Dr. Dre's past and its role (or lack thereof) in the N.W.A. biopic have tainted views of the Aftermath boss. Dre's violent incidents with his ex Michel'le and journalist Dee Barnes found new life as the film failed to address them. Now, a paternity dispute is going public.

TMZ reports that an episode of WE TV's Selling It in the ATL will allege that Dr. Dre is the father of a cast member's child. TMZ says that Dre was in a relationship with Gwen Boyd Moss, a real estate agent featured in the show. She gave birth to a son named Justin Young, told Dre he was the father and Dre paid child support for years. In 1998, a lawyer told Dre to get a DNA test to see if he actually was the father. Two tests showed he was not the father and Dre stopped paying child support.

Moss believes the DNA tests were forged and maintains that Dr. Dre is the father of her son. Moss continues to care for her son, who is 20 years old and autistic. TMZ says the show will bleep Dr. Dre's name when Moss reveals he's the father, but it will apparently be easy to infer who she is talking about.
