Thanksgiving weekend has passed and over the past four days, hip-hop was blessed with a bountiful amount of music. Seriously, 10 major artists released new projects, totally more than 100 new songs. So while music lovers stuffed their faces with their favorite food, they were also blessed with new music from Lil Wayne, Lil Bibby, Trey Songz, Yo Gotti and more.

Lil Wayne's No Ceilings 2

Lil Wayne has been busy in 2015. The YMCMB general has already released Sorry 4 The Wait 2 and Free Weezy Album. Now he dropped the second installment of the No Ceilings mixtape franchise. Wayne snaps over Drake’s “Back To Back,” Future’s “Where Ya At,” Rico Richie’s “Poppin” and 2 Chainz’ “Watch Out.” The original No Ceilings came out on Halloween 2009. The tape featured memorable remixes of F.L.Y.’s “Swag Surf,” Jay Z’s “D.O.A,” and “Run This Town.” Lil Wayne reunites with Mannie Fresh and recorded a song with the newest YMCMB artist, Baby E. Other artist on the project are Future, Yo Gotti, Turk, Hood Baby, Lucci Lou, Jae Millz, Gudda Gudda, Shanell and Euro

Erykah Badu works closely with producer Zach Witnessin for the 11-track offering. The vibes off But You Can't Use My Phone is crazy smooth. It features verses from Andre 3000 and Atlanta rapper ItsRoutine who everyone initially thought was Drake. The irony is that Routine is listed as Aubrey Davis on SoundCloud.  “I’m in love with this mixtape, it feels good,” said Badu of the project. “I think it’s a whole new frequency for the planet and I just wanted to do it because it’s inspiring me to write my new album—it’s kind of like the buffer in between.”

Since announcing he had a something up his sleeve for fans, CB delivers with the project Before The Party. The huge 34-track set features guest appearances from Wale, Tyga, French Montana, Fetty Wap, and Wiz Khalifa, Rihannna and Kelly.

Eight months later the ATL rookies drop a full length project with the same titleWhip It has guest appearances from Rome Fortune, Migos, T-Wayne and Kay!, plus production from Murda, Sonny Digital and more.

“The motivation [behind Whip It] was what I deal with everyday,” Rich The Kid said at Atlanta’s A3C Festival in October. “I work really hard but have to deal with people purposely trying to get in our way. I know Makonnen feels the same way, that’s why the song has that much energy.”

Just a couple moths after dropping The Return mixtape in September, Yo Gotti is back with another installment in his Cocaine Muzik mixtape series. CM8 only features Big Sean on the song “Long Way.” Other than that Gotti is holding his own on the 10-song effort. Ben Billions, Youngstar, Greedy Money, DeedotWill and others handle the production. Gotti’s fifth studio album, The Art of Hustle is slated to drop early 2016.
