Despite having one of summer's biggest hits in "Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)," Rich Homie Quan once again finds his name in the headlines for the wrong reasons. In an attempt to shore up some buzz for his forthcoming retail debut, the Atlanta rapper this week dropped Album Before the Album: Still Going In, his third mixtape of the year. Included on ABTA is "Numbers," a song in which Quan raises more than a few eyebrows by alluding to a very specific type of family bond. "I ain't know we were related," he raps, "but I hit my cousin/I ain't trying to do no dating, so I skip the subject/Shawty say she gon' tell her big brother/I tell that lil bitch to go tell her big brother." This marks the second time this year a star rapper has admitted to sleeping with a cousin, following Kevin Gates' infamous explanation of his actions.

Though Quan has had a difficult time getting his solo career the kind of attention it deserves, his Rich Gang compatriot Young Thug has had a banner year. He's released three projects to date--April's Barter 6, followed by two installments of his Slime Season`mixtape series, each issued this fall. While there seemed to be a disconnect, and maybe even animosity between Thug and Quan, it has since been suggested that a new Rich Gang record could be on the way. Last fall's Tha Tour, Pt. 1, stands as one of the best rap LPs in recent memory, despite the tour it was supposed to promote dissolving. Earlier today (Nov. 18), a song featuring the two MCs called "Dead On" hit the Internet.
