Today (Nov. 18), Lil Wayne announced that he had a successful surgery on his elbow. The operation was performed by Dr. Lee Kaplan, an orthopedic surgeon at the University of Miami Hospital.

"Much luv [to] Dr. Kaplan [and] his team at Univ. of Miami hospital for a successful (elbow) surgery. [And] dey had me on the tunes during surgery... dope!" tweeted Lil Wayne.

This is some welcomed good news for Lil Wayne, who has been dealing with his fair share of legal issues over the past few months. Wayne was recently ordered to pay $96K to a pyrotechnics company for failing to pay for fireworks used during a 2013 tour. This came not long after police raided Wayne's Miami Beach house and seized art from the Young Money rapper's residence. Wayne lost a lawsuit to the Signature Group, a private jet company, for failing to pay up to $2 million in fees to the company.

All that has only piled onto Lil Wayne's ongoing battle with his longtime label Cash Money Records. Earlier this year, XXL detailed how the feud between Lil Wayne and Cash Money co-owner Bryan "Birdman" Williams developed.
