Following in the sugar-addled footsteps of Lil Jon's Crunk and Nelly's Pimp Juice, Kevin Gates' attempt to extend his "I Don't Get Tired" catchphrase to a convenience store cooler near you is becoming a reality. Vending Times reports that Houston-based Candyman Vending Services has begun distributing Gates's energy drink in addition to featuring it its own vending machines in the Houston and Austin areas. Previously, Candyman had partnered with rappers RiFF RAFF and Krayzie Bone in leveraging vending machines as advertising space.

Gates has been gearing up for the release of his debut album Islah, with the release of the album's first single "Really Really." Islah is slated for a Dec. 11 release, and though it's curious why someone who doesn't get tired would need an energy drink, the Louisiana rapper's unapologetic authenticity should ensure that the disc is ripe with first person narrative.

Any beverage consumers in the above mentioned areas should keep a lookout for the IDGT elixir which seems to mimic Activis cough syrup in its packaging. Time will tell if Gates' liquid endeavor will carve out a piece of the energy drink market or become a novelty product like other rapper-fueled drinks before it.
