Jeezy is currently promoting his upcoming album Church In These Streets and stopped by ESPN's First Take. The Atlanta rapper joined Molly Qerim, Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless for an interview which immediately turned its focus towards the racial tension and protests at the University of Missouri. Qerim asked Jeezy about his thoughts on the football team's protest that ultimately forced the school president to resign.

"I think they led by perfect example," said Jeezy. "Obviously football is a big deal there, so for them to band together and even decide to that... I mean it showed excellent leadership if you ask me. I mean that' a big deal, especially for the school. And for [university president Tim Wolfe] to step down, it showed he was a bigger man and took notice. Obviously it was gonna cause a problem when you got students and people paying for their kids to go to college, and you got these racial issues going on and a president that's letting them happen. And for him to step down, I think that was the right thing to do."

Jeezy went on to discuss his new album, defend the content of his music and explain how he does not promote violence.
