There's a rich history of rappers giving back at Thanksgiving--as we speak, Boosie BadAzz is probably stockpiling turkeys for the people of Baton Rouge. One of hip-hop's newest stars is making his first foray into the world of excessive charity: Fetty Wap was caught on video throwing handfuls of cash for guests at a New Jersey mall.  As can be clearly seen on Instagram, fans and passersby were ecstatic.

But as we know, the Internet can be a vicious, cynical place. And as soon as there was evidence of the money being thrown, online sleuths started counting his checks and plotting his demise. But when he saw the speculation, Fetty decided to fire back:

His comment was in response to an Instagram user who theorized that he would be "broke in a year." The "Trap Queen" star retorted that the user in question must not be aware of his investments, adding, "I invested very well [and] I make money while I'm sleeping and honestly I don't see what's the problem." He also points out that the amount of money in question was nothing to him, seeing as it was "only 2k in singles and 700 in 20s." To add insult to injuries, he finished by saying that the would-be detective "should've been around, ya bum ass probably needed a couple hunna."

Additionally, Fetty got a shoutout from Nicki Minaj while she accepted the American Music Award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist.
