The September delivery for De La Soul's Kickstarter funded album has long passed, so the group felt an obligation to update their supporters on the status of the project. De La Soul member Posdnuos took to the group's Kickstarter page and explained that negotiations for distribution and side artist clearances were the reason for the delay. But, Pos also stated that this has all been cleared up and the album release plan is ready to go.

De La Soul's And The Anonymous Nobody is now scheduled to be released on Apr. 29. The trio also announced that a track called "Train Wreck" will drop in December and the first single, "Pain" featuring Snoop Dogg, would arrive in February or March.

The new album will be De La Soul's first official LP in over a decade as the group released the critically acclaimed The Grind Date back in 2004. De La Soul members Posdnuos and Trugoy the Dove did drop a collaborative album called Plug 1 & Plug 2 Present... First Serve in 2012, but Maseo was not involved in that project. The group also released a J Dilla tribute mixtape called Smell The DA.I.S.Y. last year. Though fans haven't been completely devoid of music from the group, And The Anonymous Nobody will be a much welcomed addition to the De La Soul discography.
