Chris Brown is a man of many talents, and that includes an eye for art, both street and traditional. For French Montana's birthday earlier this week, the singer painted a custom piece showing French and his fallen friend and collaborator Chinx Drugz. Chinx was shot and killed this past May, with French and the entire hip-hop community taking the passing with a heavy heart.

Brown and French had linked up recently for the "Moses" video, and had gotten together for Brown's "Loyal" before that. All things considered, the gift seems to be a gesture between friends. The painting depicts French in a red tuxedo with Chinx behind him, sporting angel wings and a Coke Boyz chain. It appears as if the canvas portrait is still on the easel with paints surrounding it, and a picture posted to Instagram hours earlier shows Brown just starting to sketch it out. That's an impressive turnaround for a piece that will surely take on sentimental value for the rapper.
