On the outside looking in, the situation between Young Thug and Lil Wayne seems serious. It all seemed to start when Thugger was joining foces with Birdman and announced he was naming his album Carter 6, during a time when Weezy and Stunna weren't seeing eye to eye. Seemingly taken as a slight by Tune, things escalated from there with the two artists throwing verbal shots back and forth and an alleged plot on the Cash Money veteran's life.

But according to Thug this whole thing could have been avoided and has been the result of a misunderstanding. In a recent interview with The New York Times, the metrosexual rapper revealed that it was never his intention to start a dust up with his former idol. “I’m not just being lame or trying to do something smooth," he said in reference to naming his project Carter 6 (later changed to Barter). "I told the whole world you my idol, and whenever you stop I’m gonna keep going.”

“Both of us grew up the same thing, the same gang man — Y.M.C.M.B.,” he continued. “Why should you ever in your life even feel like we against each other?”

While Thug tried to make this point before, it fell on def ears to Weezy. And, as previously stated, things went left. As this point it doesn't seem like the two will ever see eye to eye. But, stranger things have happened.
