While the lines between mainstream and independent acts continue to blur, so does the distinction between mixtape and album. Free releases feature big names and garner all the critical buzz; artists who might have pegged their heyday over a decade ago find themselves playing to 20,000 college kids at festivals. When Killer Mike and El-P formed Run The Jewels three years ago, they struck upon something that would ferry each of them back to the top of the rap world and make fans of millennials who have never heard Fantastic Damage or I Pledge Allegiance to the Grind. Now, they--along with their DJ, the inimitable Trackstar are bringing back a form that has been all but forgotten: the tour mixtape. Comprised of RTJ proper songs, collected features and a handful of exclusives from the likes of Fashawn, The Jewel Runner Tour Mixtape is available to stream down below in one long mp3, like a mixtape should.

Starting today (Oct. 9), Run The Jewels fans who find themselves in Texas can swing through Austin to catch the duo live at Austin City Limits. Check out the rest of the dates below, and catch them as they swing back up through the Midwest.
